Zhao Xueyan, female, PhD in Statistics from Nanzan University (Japan), Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor serves as the Head of the Department of Statistics and Data Science and Vice President of Jiangxi Institute of Statistics Innovation. She is also a Standing Director of the Chinese Business Statistics Society, a Director of the Bayesian Statistics Branch of the Chinese Association for Applied Statistics, a member of the Japanese Society of Computer Statistics, and an expert for dissertation review at the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education.

Her research focuses on big data analysis methods and applications, data mining, big data finance, and applied economics. She has presided over 2 general projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and 4 provincial and ministerial-level projects. She has published 1 academic monograph and edited 2 textbooks. She has authored several papers in domestic and international journals such as Statistical Research and the Journal of the Japanese Society of Computer Statistics. She has received 1 Postgraduate Teaching Achievement Award of Jiangxi Province and 1 Waki Memorial Fund Award at JKSC2010.

She has supervised postgraduate students to win more than 10 awards at or above the provincial level in discipline competitions, including 2 national first prizes and 2 national second prizes.
