Lei Yaoting’s research primarily focuses on financial mathematics and financial statistics. She has presided over 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Her research findings have been published in journals such as Management Science and Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and she has received 1 First Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award.

She teaches core courses including Econometrics, Econometrics Experiments, and Applied Stochastic Processes, and has developed 1 Jiangxi Provincial High-quality Online Open Course.
