The Finance program (including Banking Operation Management and Investment) is a national first-class professional construction site and a Jiangxi Provincial first-class discipline site. It has established an integrated undergraduate-master-doctoral training system, forming the professional characteristics of "casting the soul with red finance, laying the foundation with fin-tech, and empowering with green finance". The major began enrolling undergraduates in 2007 with a 4-year academic system, and has maintained a high employment rate in recent years.

The major has built a high-quality teaching team with a reasonable echelon structure. There are 23 full-time teachers, including 7 professors, 9 associate professors, and 7 lecturers; 4 are doctoral supervisors, 18 hold doctoral degrees (accounting for 78%), and the internationalization rate is 22%.

Teachers of this major have presided over a number of national-level projects such as the National Social Science Fund, the National Natural Science Fund, and the National 242 Information Security Special Project, and have won 6 Provincial Excellent Social Science Achievement Awards. They have published many important papers in high-quality domestic and foreign academic journals, including Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, Systems Engineering - Theory & Practice, Chinese Journal of Management Science, Management Review, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, and International Review of Financial Analysis. Several think tank reports have received affirmative comments from provincial and ministerial leaders, and multiple letters of thanks at or above the provincial and ministerial levels have been obtained.

The objective of this major is to cultivate high-quality, compound and innovative talents who love the motherland, uphold the socialist system, abide by laws and disciplines, possess sound personality, good psychological quality and cooperative spirit, as well as innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities. They should systematically master professional knowledge and relevant skills in finance, adapt to the increasingly fierce international competition, and be capable of engaging in financial business and management work in various financial institutions, government departments, enterprises and public institutions.

The feature of this major is the "5-4-3 Chain System" intelligent training model for innovative and entrepreneurial talents. Guided by the new concept of "Five-All Intelligent Education", centered on the new mechanism of "Four-Chain Intelligent Education", and applied in the new practice of "Three-Dimensional Intelligent Education", these three elements are linked to form the "5-4-3 Chain System".

The graduation requirements for this major are: completing 160 credits, adhering to the correct political direction, possessing good moral character, professional skills and physical fitness, as well as high humanistic and scientific literacy and independent learning ability.

In addition to pursuing further studies at national "Double First-Class" universities and prestigious overseas universities, graduates mainly find employment in banks, insurance companies, securities companies, trust companies, fund management companies, corporate financial departments, financial regulatory authorities, and news media.
