NANCHANG, China – January 20, 2026 – School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Nanchang University held a kick-off meeting in Room B340 Zhihua Building for its intensive 2026 national research project application drive. The gathering brought together university leadership, department heads, and faculty applicants to align strategies and strengthen support systems for securing high-level national research funding.

Professor Shao Hanhua, Deputy Dean of SEM, delivered a comprehensive briefing outlining the application landscape for 2026. His presentation covered recent policy updates, the School’s internal support mechanisms, and a structured timeline for proposal development and review. This clarity aims to streamline the application process and maximize the quality of submissions.
Vice President Ping Weiying emphasized the university’s full commitment to advancing research excellence. “Research is a core mission of our institution,” she stated. “We will continue to provide robust resources, supportive policies, and dedicated services to empower our faculty in pursuing and securing significant national projects.”
