Program Overview

Approved as a first-level master's program by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 2011, Applied Economics is recognized as a first-class discipline in Jiangxi Province during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. It offers four research directions: Regional Economics, Finance, Industrial Economics and Quantitative Economics. Based on regional characteristics and relying on first-class platforms such as Jiangxi Provincial Research Bases of Humanities and Social Sciences and Jiangxi Collaborative Innovation Centers, the discipline has formed advantageous research areas including the green development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the rise of Central China, the construction of the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone and the development of Jiangxi Province’s National Ecological Civilization Demonstration Zone. Led by national-level high-caliber talents such as Distinguished Professors appointed by the Ministry of Education and supported by laboratory teams, the discipline boasts a well-structured and highly qualified faculty.
