The Industrial Engineering is a national-level first-class undergraduate program construction site. It aims to cultivate innovative and application-oriented compound talents who master solid theories in economic management, systems engineering, and mathematical sciences, possess modern industrial engineering technologies, methods, and practical capabilities, and engage in planning and design, operation management, comprehensive evaluation, management decision-making, system optimization, and other work in industrial and service organizations. Focusing on innovative and application-oriented compound talents for digital management in modern industrial engineering, it has formed a distinctive training model featuring "digital education, teaching and training, digital theoretical innovation and dissemination, and digital industrial practice and application."

Graduates have a foundation in both engineering and management, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, making them highly favored by large and medium-sized enterprises at home and abroad. They enjoy a broad employment prospect: they can work as industrial engineers, manufacturing engineers, systems engineers, quality engineers, logistics engineers, and management professionals in manufacturing and service enterprises, or serve as managers, civil servants, or consultants in government agencies or consulting firms. Approximately 30% of undergraduate students in Industrial Engineering at our university pursue further studies at renowned universities at home and abroad, while around 70% choose to enter the workforce.
